Grounded Gets Fully Yoked Edition on Switch, PlayStation Consoles with New Content and Cross-Play

Obsidian Entertainment’s survival game Grounded has launched for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4, bringing with it full cross-platform multiplayer and a host of new content and features.

This new version is titled Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition and includes update 1.4. The update introduces new terrifying foes (or possible allies) like Royal Ant Queens, a New Game Plus mode with “alternate dimensions with remixed challenges,” new buildings, pets, equipment, quality-of-life improvements, and more. Obsidian says this is the final major content update for Grounded.

Here’s a rundown of the major additions in Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition:

    • New Creatures: Players can encounter and potentially befriend new Royal Ant Queens.
    • New Game Plus: Experience the game with remixed challenges in alternate dimensions.
    • New Buildings: Construct new buildings including chaise lounges, chandeliers, and ant queen-related structures.
    • New Pets: Befriend three new baby ant pets.
    • New Equipment: Over 20 new items, equipment pieces, and trinkets are available, some exclusive to New Game Plus.
    • New Mutations: Gain the Antbassador mutation to become one with the ants.
    • New Signs: Unlock a new sign set in New Game Plus.
    • Full Japanese Voice Over: The game now features full Japanese voice acting.
    • Cross-Platform Multiplayer: Play with friends regardless of platform.

The Playground mode has also received a number of updates including new props, filtering options for community playgrounds, and the ability to report playgrounds that violate the rules.

Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. The update is also available for those who already own the game on Xbox One and PC.
