The FBI Portland Field Office seeks additional victims after a woman escaped a makeshift cell in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

On July 15, 2023, a woman flagged down a police officer in Klamath Falls and told them she had escaped from a makeshift cell in a garage. The woman said she had been held captive by a man she met on the Internet.

The man, who has been identified as Negasi Zuberi, is currently in federal custody on charges of interstate kidnapping. The FBI is now seeking additional victims who may have been held captive by Zuberi.

Zuberi is a 29-year-old man who has lived in several states, including Oregon, Washington, and California. He is known to use the aliases “Sakima,” “Justin Hyche,” and “Justin Kouassi.”

The FBI is asking anyone who may have been a victim of Zuberi to come forward. They can contact the FBI Portland Field Office at (503) 224-4181 or tips.fbi.gov.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any additional victims.

This is an ongoing investigation and the FBI is asking anyone with information to come forward.
