Danielo Cavalcante, a convicted killer, escaped from Chester County Prison in Pennsylvania on August 26.

He is serving a life sentence for the murder of a 19-year-old man in 2008.

Cavalcante is considered “armed and extremely dangerous.”

He was last seen running from a home in South Coventry Township around 10 p.m. Monday.

A homeowner had been alerted to a possible break-in and fired several shots at Cavalcante, but did not hit him.

Cavalcante is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers.

Police have warned the public not to approach Cavalcante and to call 911 if they see him.

 A massive manhunt is underway involving state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Authorities have offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to Cavalcante's capture.
