Rich Paul, founder of the Klutch Sports Group, made a guest appearance on CBS Mornings to discuss his memoir, “Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing the Odds.” During the interview, co-anchor Gayle King inquired about his relationship with the Grammy-winning singer Adele.
Paul, known for being private about his personal life, shared that he doesn’t typically divulge details but did acknowledge that he and Adele have been doing well and have been “good for each other.” When pressed about rumors of marriage, the 42-year-old sports agent remained elusive. When King asked if Adele should be referred to as “Mrs. Paul,” he playfully responded, “You can call her anything you want.”
Paul and Adele, aged 35, have been linked since May 2021. Their relationship has mostly remained low-key, with occasional appearances together courtside at basketball games and at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
In an interview with People, Paul revealed that Adele had been supportive during the process of writing and publishing his memoir, which chronicles his journey from a hustler to a multi-million dollar businessman. He described Adele’s response to the book as emotional, suggesting that it resonated deeply with her.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship status escalated after Adele referred to Paul as her “husband” during her Las Vegas residency in September. Videos shared on social media showed her playfully responding to a fan’s marriage proposal by stating that she couldn’t marry because she’s straight and her husband was present.
Adele also hinted at future plans, even suggesting baby names with Paul when helping a fan pick a name for their child. In an interview with Elle magazine in August 2022, Adele expressed her deep affection for Paul, saying, “I’ve never been in love like this; I’m obsessed with him.” While she clarified that she wasn’t engaged, she did express a desire to get married again, emphasizing her happiness and love in the relationship.
