RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023: The Reserve Bank of India has just announced a recruitment drive for the position of Assistant. If you’re interested, the application process is now open.

You have until October 4 to submit your application on the official website – Opportunities.rbi.org.in. So, mark your calendar!

Job Vacancies

The RBI is looking to fill a total of 450 vacant Assistant positions through this recruitment.

Age Requirements

To be eligible, you must be at least 20 years old and not older than 28 years as of September 1, 2023. This means if you were born between September 2, 1995, and September 1, 2003, you qualify. Reserved category candidates have some flexibility with the upper age limit.

Who Can Apply

Keep in mind that this opportunity is open to Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962. If you’re of Indian origin and came from certain countries with the intention of settling in India, you can apply too. However, you’ll need an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India in this case.

Educational Qualifications

To apply, you should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks. It’s important to note that you must have this degree by September 1, 2023. For SC, ST, and PWD candidates, there’s no specific mark requirement, but having a graduation degree is necessary.


If you’re an Ex-Serviceman, you should have at least a graduation or matriculation degree (or its equivalent) and a minimum of 15 years of defense service.

Language Proficiency

If you’re applying for a position in a particular recruitment office, you must be proficient in the language of the state covered by that office. This includes reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the language.

Selection Process

The selection process involves a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The online preliminary exam is scheduled for October 21 and 23, while the main exam is likely to be held on December 2.

Application Fees

There’s an application fee to consider:

SC/ST/PWBD/EXS: Rs 50 plus 18 percent GST

General/OBC/EWS: Rs 450 plus 18 percent GST

Staff: No application fee is required for staff members.
