Chicago, IL Goose Island Beer Co. has announced two new additions to its Bourbon County lineup for 2023: Rice Pudding Stout and Cask-Finished Stout.
The Rice Pudding Stout is a collaboration with pastry chef Mindy Segal, and it is inspired by her popular rice pudding recipe. The beer is made with lactose, vanilla beans, and toasted rice, and it is aged in bourbon barrels for 12 months.
The Cask-Finished Stout is a blend of Bourbon County Stouts that have been aged in different types of barrels, including bourbon, port, and rum. The beer is then finished in oak casks that have been used to age sherry.
Both beers will be released in limited quantities on October 14, 2023.
