Alex Pereira Defeats Jan Blachowicz by Split Decision in Light Heavyweight Debut

Las Vegas, NV – Alex Pereira made a successful light heavyweight debut on Saturday night, defeating former champion Jan Blachowicz by a split decision at UFC 291.

The fight was a close one, with both fighters landing significant strikes throughout. Pereira, who is a former two-time kickboxing champion, seemed to have the edge in the striking department, but Blachowicz was able to take Pereira down a few times.
